This was the last of the long series of gorgeous spring days. Tomorrow we get back to some good old fashioned Northwest rain. But don't worry sun lovers later in the week magical things will happen. Eighty degrees my friends, Eight Zero. By the way, if you are a sun worshiper, why exactly are you in the Northwest? Anyway, I digress, back to the weather at hand and those amazing 80s predicted by the National Weather Service for the end of the week. Yes, we will feel the golden rays of sunny goodness again very soon.

The great blue yonder remains in place above the 'Couv' and all of Southwest Washington is basking in the warm rays of the spring sun. This kind of weather brings a giddiness to the denzinens of the great Northwest. Get out there and soak up those golden beams of sunny goodness, damp and cool could return any day :)

Yesterday I mowed both lawns under the glorious blue sky with great beams of joyous sunshine beating down upon my brow... I actually did something I haven't done in months... heaven forbid, was that, no couldn't be, wait it was.. SWEAT! After the long cool wet and gloomy winter Western Washington smiles when God graces us with our first extended warm spell... 73 degrees and loving today :)

Good morning Monday! Look at that big ball of yummy yellow in the sky today :) It was atypically chilly this morning as my wife had to have me open the car door for her that was frozen shut. Yes, I said FROZEN. April 22nd and frozen doors, are you kidding me? But that was so three hours ago, that flaming orb has the temp on the rise and who knows, maybe we will hit 70 later this afternoon. Whether it's 63 or 73 soak up that sunshine and have a great day :)

April has been a tad on the cool side with showery weather and some low snow levels at times. Wildcat Day at Central Washington State University happened under clear skies but very brisk temps in the upper thirties with strong winds pushing those windchills down into the 20s. They had to move the opening remarks indoors for the first time ever. Then later in the evening, flurries were happening over there. Here in Southwest Washington things have not warmed up much yet, but get ready for some sizzling sun, it may be just around the corner :)

March was pretty dull this year, no snow other than some flurries on one day and the rainfall was a minimal for the month at just 2.19 inches. We got a taste of spring right at the end of the month with big bold sunshine and upper seventies for Easter weekend. Enjoy the view as you drive around looking at all those gorgeous flowers in full bloom :)
